| Soak 100g per litre of spirit as a general guide or to your personal taste. We have found that the following produces the best results and yield: First Soaking: add 2.5 litres of spirit to 500g of Pure Distilling Chunks and leave to soak for 14 days, Drain the spirit from the chunks and filter through a filter paper to remove any dust particles. This should be kept for your personal stocks. Second Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and soak for 14 - 28 days depending on taste. drain and filter as per First Soaking. Third Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and soak for 5 - 6 weeks depending on taste,drain and filter as per First Soaking. This third run can be improved by adding a Pure Distilling Whisky Essence. |
